EXACT-6G at Patras IQ – Innovation and Technology Transfer Expo
The SMARTECH Athena / ISI Athena research team participated in the Patras IQ – Innovation and Technology Transfer Expo, the largest innovation and technology event in Western Greece, held from 27 February to 1 March 2026 at the Conference & Cultural Center, University of Patras in Patras, Greece.
During the three-day exhibition, visitors to the ISI booth had the opportunity to discover how Artificial Intelligence can contribute to the development of more efficient and innovative services and applications by leveraging cloud computing and telecommunications providers’ infrastructures. Attendees also explored the capabilities of next-generation networks through interactive demonstrations and learned about the cutting-edge research projects led and supported by the team within the framework of the Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU).
The EXACT-6G project was actively represented at the event by Doctoral Candidates Debashish Roy (DC07) and Muhammad Rafid (DC09) from ISI Athena. At the booth, they showcased the latest developments in 6G technologies and shared insights about the EXACT-6G project with students, researchers, startups, and technology enthusiasts from across the country.
The exhibition provided an excellent opportunity for networking, exchanging ideas, and discussing the future of advanced telecommunications and digital innovation. The event highlighted the growing interest in next-generation networks and the important role of collaborative research initiatives in shaping the future of connectivity.
