Roy holds dual Master of Science degrees in Artificial Intelligence Research from Atlantic Technological University (ATU), Ireland, and in Software Engineering from the University of Europe for Applied Sciences, Germany. With nearly a decade of Industrial experience as an AI Practitioner and Sr. Data Scientist, he has worked extensively in both academic and practice industries (British Telecom, Amgen, Harman, D Cube analytics), contributing to cutting-edge research, innovation and product development. His recent research includes developing frameworks to preserve privacy and safety in Generative AI systems and advancing test-driven development in Android applications (both published in 2024). Earlier, he contributed research and development in AI vision systems for autonomous monitoring of social distancing.

He has also co-founded and contributed to several startups, including a startup recognised by the Catalyst-Cofounder program UK and New Frontiers of Enterprise Ireland, where he led MVP design and stakeholder engagement. He has been recognised with outstanding participation in the Student Enterprise Award for innovation in 2020 & 2021 (Ireland). He is a member of Athena SWAN and the ACM/ACM-W community of Atlantic Technological University. His technical expertise spans Machine learning, Deep learning, LLM, Agentic AI, DevOps, MLOps, and cloud. He also holds certifications including AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Agile Foundations (PMI), and Enterprise AI Design Thinking (IBM). Presently, his research work is for the EXACT-6G project funded by the EU & EC. His research interests include Artificial Intelligence in 6G technology, AR/VR/XR.
