EXACT-6G Doctoral Network Completes Schools 3 and 6
The EXACT-6G MSCA Doctoral Network has completed School 3 and School 6 of its doctoral training programme, marking another important milestone in preparing the next generation of 6G researchers.
Held online, both schools offered a dynamic and interactive learning environment where Doctoral Candidates engaged with experts from academia and industry on key technologies shaping future communication networks.
School 3: PHY Layer Techniques and Design Principles in 6G
School 3 focused on Physical Layer (PHY) technologies and emerging 6G design principles, with topics including AI-enabled RAN, Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC), and low-power IoT solutions for massive connectivity and energy efficiency. The sessions highlighted important research directions toward intelligent and multifunctional 6G networks.
School 6: Autonomous and AI-Driven 6G Networks
School 6 explored the evolution toward autonomous 6G systems, covering Agentic AI, intent-based networking, and AI applications for resource optimization, traffic prediction, and anomaly detection. The school emphasized the transition toward adaptive, AI-driven network architectures and their connection to industrial applications.
Together, these sessions showcased the vision of 6G as an intelligent and autonomous ecosystem that continuously adapts and evolves.
Building on this success, the EXACT-6G consortium now looks forward to the upcoming programme schools focused on non-transferable skills, continuing its commitment to excellent doctoral training.
